What value do you put on your reputation? A good reputation can set you up for success. A bad reputation can be destructive and difficult to repair. Having no reputation at all is a waste of a massive opportunity.
Stand Out and Step Up is based on Fiona Fenwick’s international experience protecting the reputations of prominent individuals and organisations from global giants to small start ups. It covers what you need to know to understand the value of reputation and how it can shape your success. Practical exercises will challenge you to build your personal Reputation Toolkit and: - Develop your personal brand - Create a positive reputation - Gain influence - Network effectively, and Stand Out and Step Up, because It might just change your life! This book is for everyone. Period. It prompts you to think about who you are, what you do and why. It also provides the tools you need to better understand yourself and, in turn, actually see what impact you are making! Only when you truly understand this can you take the steps to being the success you want to be. Your body language may shape who you are - Amy Cuddy Ted TalkI have used body language as a successful tool ( armour?) for most of my life. As a woman of stature ( 6 foot!) , it took me years to ' grow into my height'. But having some techniques for building my confidence, rather than pretend if I didn't think about it I would melt into the background, helped me until I truly started believing in myself.
Amy understands the power of pose and I use her superwoman analogy regularly. I even have my own mantra that I say into the mirror. It's "FFF" and I'm not going to explain what that is :) What is your stance and what will you say to yourself to give you the boost you deserve? Want to get great at something? Get a coach -Atul Gawande Ted TalkI love the humility in this talk.
And it resonated so much. Most people can master tasks, with the right amount of training ,skills and commitment. We can get good. But to have the ability to reach greatness involves the time and ability to see oneself clearly with time given to shining a light on who we really are. A Coach is best placed to support you with this and get you great! Inspirational books on my table!Presence - Amy Cuddy
